| Sumario: | This article centers on a 2024 roundtable titled "Listening With and From Caribbean Bodies / Escuchar con y desde cuerpos caribeños," convened by the Society for Ethnomusicology’s Latin America and Caribbean section (LACSEM) to explore listening as a method, metaphor, and practice in Caribbean ethnomusicology. The panel brought together Caribbean-based scholars and diaspora representatives to discuss how listening shapes Caribbean music scholarship, emphasizing decolonial, archipelagic, and embodied approaches that challenge dominant, often Anglophone- and US-centric narratives.
