Danebrock analyzes various adaptations of Mary Shelley’s novel across film, theater, and series, developing a theoretical framework that understands form, information, and potentials as a dynamic interplay. The focus is not on the meaning of the monster, but on how Frankenstein functions as a practice of storytelling and how producers, recipients, and fictional beings are connected in a reciprocal process of transformation.
