Current care pathways for pelvic fractures are inconsistent, often lacking multidisciplinary coordination and adequate secondary prevention, such as osteoporosis treatment and fracture liaison service (FLS) involvement. The new national audit aims to identify all pelvic fracture cases, promote integrated care involving orthogeriatrics, trauma, and medical specialties, and develop standardized management protocols to reduce the risk of further fragility fractures.
