| Sumario: | This article focuses on advancing evidence and understanding of nutrition policies and programs in educational settings to promote equitable food security. It summarizes seven studies from a Special Issue that examine diverse aspects such as governance, implementation, stakeholder perspectives, and measurement of nutrition interventions across global contexts including the United States, Brazil, Australia, and Indonesia. Key themes include the importance of operationalizing equity in policy implementation, tailoring approaches to local contexts, and developing equity-centered evaluation tools to assess outcomes beyond academic attendance. The article emphasizes that coordinated efforts in governance, financing, and stakeholder engagement are essential to strengthen nutrition programs in schools and childcare settings, thereby addressing disparities in child health and educational outcomes.
