Through a qualitative methodology, it concludes that the integration of IoT in higher education promotes active, meaningful, and collaborative learning, facilitating the rapid understanding of technological concepts and the development of professional skills in programming, data analysis, and problem-solving. Furthermore, the use of IoT in educational settings allows for efficient resource management and real-time decision-making, establishing itself as an innovative pedagogical strategy that links academia with the needs of the productive sector. Finally, it is recommended to increase investment in emerging technologies to enhance these teaching experiences and to deepen future research on their educational impact. El artículo se centra en el impacto de las experiencias didácticas basadas en proyectos de monitoreo en laboratorios universitarios utilizando la tecnología emergente Internet de las Cosas (IoT). Mediante una metodología cualitativa, se concluye que la integración del IoT en la educación superior favorece un aprendizaje activo, significativo y colaborativo, facilitando la comprensión rápida de conceptos tecnológicos y el desarrollo de competencias profesionales en programación, análisis de datos y resolución de problemas. Además, el uso de IoT en entornos educativos permite la gestión eficiente de recursos y la toma de decisiones en tiempo real, constituyéndose como una estrategia pedagógica innovadora que vincula la academia con las necesidades del sector productivo.
