Sumario:The article examines the science education at the secondary school level in the U.S. The study focuses on the areas and types of research which might be undertaken for all science teachers to strengthen the secondary school science program. Inclusion of science in courses of study has been considered to be the basic high school offering. The author emphasizes the importance of a research pointed toward the development of reading materials in science which will cover the same levels and principles at several reading levels.
