This prototype set a new world record in optical quantum information technology by solving the Gaussian boson sampling problem at a speed over 10^54 times faster than the most powerful classical supercomputer. Jiuzhang 4.0 manipulated and detected quantum states involving up to 3,050 photons, significantly surpassing the previous version's 255 photons.
