| Sumario: | The article analyses students' attitudes and skills to critically work with language-based artificial intelligence (AI) through conducting a methodological module. The module includes an initial survey, a lecture section which introduces the students to prompt engineering, classwork tasks and an exit survey; this article presents the analysis of the two surveys. The results showcase the methodological module as highly effective, especially when it pertains to the attitudes and skills related to fact-checking AI-generated information. The degree of knowledge about AI's characteristics students have and the perceived need for purposeful education on the effective use of AI are in a direct ratio.
