The article analyzes the way in which the writer Cătălin Mihuleac addresses the subject of the historical trauma of the Romanian Jewish community through fiction, enabling the exercise of the moral repair. It highlights narrative strategies such as temporal alternation, polyphony, or multi-layered focalization to show how the author reconstructs traumatic episodes of 20 century history, not as a simple act of remembrance, but as a form of symbolic reparation of the past that has been mystified for decades by censored history textbooks. The study is supported by representative passages from the novels "Oxenberg und Bernstein" and "Deborah", where irony and trauma function as pillars of the narrative, examining the drama of the concealment of these historical realities and arguing for the role of literature in representing trauma, with focus on the theories of cultural memory and postmemory.
