| Sumario: | This paper proposes a notion of social welfare based on the common good. It argues for a working hypothesis that enables the link between ethics and economics in general, and a grounding of social welfare in the common good in particular. The central elements of natural law ethics, basic human goods and principles of practical reasonableness, and the different conception of the common good are presented. Finally, a conception of the social welfare function based on the common good is developed. En este artículo se propone una noción de bienestar social fundado en el bien común. Para ello se argumenta a favor de una hipótesis de trabajo que posibilite el vínculo entre ética y economía en general, y una fundamentación del bienestar social en el bien común en particular. Se expone los elementos centrales de la ética de la ley natural, los bienes humanos básicos y los principios de razonabilidad práctica, y las diversas concepciones del bien común. Finalmente, se desarrolla una concepción de la función de bienestar social basada en el bien común. |
