Sumario:This article analyzes Herminia Luque’s 2015 novel *Amar tanta belleza*, which reinterprets the works and legacies of seventeenth-century Spanish women writers Ana Caro de Mallén and María de Zayas through a rape-revenge narrative framework. The novel uses this plot device to explore the pervasive rape culture and misogyny within early modern Spanish literary circles, highlighting the oppression faced by women writers and their solidarity in crafting distinctively feminine texts. Luque incorporates early modern tropes such as the effeminate or "lindo" man to critique gender nonconformity as linked to patriarchal violence, while also engaging with classical myths—particularly those of Arachne and Procne and Philomela from Ovid’s *Metamorphoses*—to articulate a feminist poetics of women’s writing as acts of resistance. Positioned within contemporary Spanish feminist politics, the novel serves as both a historical and cultural intervention that challenges ongoing silencing of women’s voices in literature and society.
