Sumario:In this article the authors report on the different types of use of tools for managing technical skills as applied in a medium-sized software consulting company. The tools were used to allocate resources, to search for competence to solve problems, identifying new project opportunities and upgrading skills. The varied use of such tools enables learning and leads to tool use at the individual and company level.
