Sumario:	The article discusses a study which examines certain aspects in Karplus Islands Puzzle that measures the same psychological parameters in Inhelder and Piaget's measures of operational thinking to group of high school and college students in science teaching. The puzzle was administered first then followed by an individual interview with a battery of Piagetian task while the college students have in three forms with a random sample of subjects. The results has shown that there is a higher correlation among puzzle's questions than the three Piagetian tasks. The implications of the variables and teacher concern has affected task performance among students.
