| Sumario: | The article offers information on the St. Paul Developmental Program and the Hamline University class plan. These two programs are separate, but they are related experiments in the education of gifted high school students in the subjects of mathematics and science. The developmental program employs grouping as a method for stimulating intellectual achievement and is applied to the ninth to twelfth grades in all of the St. Paul Public Secondary Schools. The curriculum involved in this program entailed acceleration, so that students who participate in this program are equipped for college by their senior year. |
