Summary:The article discusses the reasons of Motorola Corp. for establishing software development centers in Krakow, Poland. It has been noted that one of the reasons is the huge tax exemptions given to investors. Companies with expenditures of over €2 million per year are entitled to zero percent tax for the first six years and a 50% reduction in tax afterwards. The close ties between Motorola and Jagiellonian University is also considered as another reason for choosing the place.
