Sumario:	The article presents a cross-validation study of the prediction of college achievement in terms of grade-point average (GPA). The study was an attempt to cross validate the findings of a previous experiment which used a regression equation derived from the scores of the Minnesota Multiphasic Personality Inventory and the American Council on Education Psychological Examination to predict GPA of freshman students at the University of California in Santa Barbara. There was a shrinkage in the coefficient of the correlation between predicted and obtained GPA in the experimental and cross-validation group. This difference can be attributed to the regression phenomenon, sampling errors and the influence of variables not measured by the prediction scales.
