Sumario:The article presents information on doctoral dissertation "A Comparison of Undergraduate Art Teacher Training Programs in 17 Midwestern States," by Joseph A. Frattallone. It is noted that the training programs are evaluated on the standards set by the National Art Education Assessment's guidelines. Information is given about sampling process according to student size of the institutions. Information about art student program, teacher-student support and student teaching program is also presented. Restructuring of class organization, deficiency in evaluation and observation of teaching theories and lack of participation are discussed as shortcomings in the study.
