| Sumario: | The article focuses on the integration of arts education into the Public Law 94-142, known as the Individualized Educational Program (IEP) for handicapped children. The law aims to provide children identified as handicapped with IEPs that would meet their unique learning needs. The article discusses the reason why the arts should be considered in the implementation of the IEP. Arts education is expected to teach children with different behavioral, academic and art learning skills. Different steps of the IEP process and the importance of each step are also tackled to understand it in terms of arts education and children.
