Sumario:The article focuses on the internet community game called Second Life. It explains that the game is used as a distance education tool by colleges and universities such as Ohio University. It explains that in May 2007, there was a shooting incident in the online campus for the university. The legal implications of the online harassment are discussed and media ethics are explored. Whether or not college professors should be held responsible for virtual harassment is analyzed, and the creator of the game, the company Linden Lab, is also discussed. A list of suggestions for schools wishing to participate in the community is also included.
