A phrase of Garcilaso de la Vega was chosen by Salinas as the title for this book and he showed the allusion in an epigraph. Salinas' writing has a long personal history which started in his conformity to his wife Margarita Bonmatí. On the second stanza of Garcilaso's "Tercera écloga," the words "la voz a ti debida" appeared, which is a part of the dedication to the Marchioness of Villafranca. |
