The copy opens with a page headed "Beilage zur Beschreibung des Cod. capit. Vercell, n. CXVII." The Beilage to this Beschreibung represents a rough chart indicating the nineteen gatherings the number of sheet contained, the position of the centre of the quire, the numbering of the extant pages and the absence of lost pages.
