Via this comparison, 1 show how the phenomenological perspective of the first author brings out the deficits of Dennett's eliminativism and Teilhard's panpsychism. Secondly, however, I criticize Hartmann's thesis that ends are inaccessible events to objective knowledge, using certain arguments from Elizabeth Anscombe and Anthony Kenny. Nevertheless, I conclude that it is not possible to avoid a grade of uncertainty in the verifying of the existence of ends; this conclusion, in turns, leads me to defend a position that I call Critical Finalism. En este artículo estudio el problema de la finalidad inconsciente, primeramente, comparando tres alternativas interpretaciones fisicalistas representadas en el pensamiento de Nicolai Hartmann, de Daniel Dennett y de Pierre Teilhard de Chardin. Con ello muestro cómo la perspectiva fenomenológica del primero saca a relucir las carencias del eliminativismo de Dennett y del panpsiquismo del Teilhard. Sin embargo y, en segundo lugar, critico la idea de Hartmann de que los fines sean eventos inaccesibles al conocimiento objetivo, utilizando algunos de los planteamientos de Elizabeth Anscombe y Anthony Kenny.
