Sumario:The article reports on isolation of a hexa-host compound which yields several polymorphic forms with different single-crystal phases using melt crystallization. Polymorphism is the existence of several different kinds of crystal on the same chemical substance in the crystalline solid state. Polymorphs adversely affect the desired formulation of a product in pharmaceutical and chemical industry; thus, single-crystal diffraction (SCD) for characterization will be used.
