| Sumario: | The article reports on a fourth grade elementary school project which attempted to foster critical thinking skills when reading print advertisements. The article discusses the educational philosophy of Dawson Elementary school as well as the class' income and minority statistics. The Bubble Project is an activist effort which aims at providing criticisms of corporate culture by offering an Internet forum for the posting of pictures with dialogue bubbles attached. The article also discusses the legal ramifications of defacing public images, social criticism, and secondary themes found in advertising. |
