| Sumario: | The article discusses research on preventing teacher burn-out. It is suggested that the best way to fight the depersonalization and pessimism that lies beneath burnout is to take steps to address them. One step is to respond to an unsupportive school leader, which is often made worse when teachers speak to everyone else besides the person in question. Another solution is given to the problem of teachers who witness other teachers failing in their classrooms. Other solutions to situations including teachers who let down their peers, parents who fail to support learning, and students who have behavioral problems, are discussed.
