Sumario:The article discusses the integration of computer game development into traditional college-level computer science (CS) curricula. The transition from the industrial age to the information age in the U.S. during the last quarter of the 20th century is discussed, mentioning that in the first decade of the 21st century the economy has transitioned from the information age to the conceptual age. The emphasis on good design and good engineering as the two complementary and equally-necessary qualities of conceptual-age technologies is noted, mentioning that the gaming industry is at the forefront of the transition to the conceptual age.
