The major purpose of the study is to investigate the effectiveness of the use of sensor probeware technology and guided inquiry in teaching and learning of sciences. To achieve this goal, six in-service science teachers and their 38 students participated in this study during a summer camp in Al Ain, United Arab Emirates. Science teachers were trained as part of this study to use the sensor probeware technology and guided-inquiry instruction to investigate water quality. Then each group of students investigated water quality at different locations. Qualitative as well as quantitative data were collected from teachers and students. Results indicated that students and teachers had benefited from the use of sensor probeware technology (t- test 13.784 p<.000).
