| Sumario: | The article presents a study which measures the influence of substrate catalysis on the diffusion of urease enzyme with the use of Brownian dynamics simulations. Fluorescence correlation spectroscopy (FCS) was utilized to measure the diffusion coefficients and urease activity was inhibited by pretreatment of the enzyme with 1 mM pyrocatechol for two hours. Results show that the catalysis could alter the diffusion of an enzyme in the presence of a substrate. |
