The subject of the minimum wage received much attention, but important laws were also enacted revising prevailing wage and family leave laws, protecting employers who furnish job performance data, regulating the apparel and employee leasing businesses, consolidating individual state labor departments into larger agencies, and protecting employees from different types of employment discrimination. A summary, by jurisdiction, of labor legislation enacted last year is presented. |
