Description
Summary:T. D. Kimura of Washington University in St. Louis has developed a pictorial computer language that will make it easier for children to use computers. In his language, Show and Tell, symbolic pictures, or icons, can be manipulated to create the logical statements of programs and subroutines. Kimura's research group has verified that fourth-grade students can use Show and Tell with little training. Kimura hopes to create an icon-based language that will allow executives and professionals to use computers without having to learn programming skills.
