| Sumario: | An evaluation was completed of the new Human Development and Family Studies (HDFS) baccalaureate program at the Pennsylvania State University Commonwealth College. Focus groups identified three themes for HDFS-Community Human Service students: basic community skills and competencies, professional skills, and content areas. Therefore, new courses were incorporated into the curriculum to enhance student abilities in these areas and technology and communication skills were developed in two new courses. Surveys were administered to students, and they revealed that the primary success of the program lay in its ability to improve students' comfort levels and thus their willingness to use technology.
