| Sumario: | Part of a special issue on afterschool computer programs for children. The writers discuss the failure of many children to complete stories about activities at their sites intended for publication at the program website. They find that the failure-to-complete rate was markedly high, and when the children did complete their stories, they wrote in a formal, composed manner that lacked descriptive detail. They conclude that the mostly adult audience was overly unmotivating and nonspecific for children. |
