| Sumario: | A special issue on computer supported collaborative learning. Topics discussed in relation to collaborative learning in education are instructional design for computer-supported collaborative learning in primary and secondary school; problems with the validation of socio-constructivist design principles in ecological settings; collaborative learning in an educational robotics environment; collaborative environments and task design in the university; instructional design and emerging teaching models in higher education; and design of collaborative learning environments. Issues explored in relation to computer assisted collaborative learning in training are models and simulations for learning in complex domains; situated learning with cooperative agent simulations in team training; dynamic problem selection in air traffic control training; the role of organizational context in mediating workplace learning and performance; training teams for emergency management; and gaming and multimedia applications for environmental crisis management training. |
