Sumario:A study was conducted to examine whether newsroom investment was associated with circulation change five and ten years after the initial measurement of investment. Data were obtained from the equivalent of a newsroom investment index derived from 1984 content to test its association with circulation changes in 41 daily newspapers with circulation of over 25,000. Findings revealed a positive relationship between newsroom investment in 1984 and the percentage change in circulation five years later. However, findings did not support the hypothesis that newsroom investment in 1984 would be positively correlated with percentage change in circulation between 1985 and 1995. Findings are discussed in detail.
