Along with the three sources of aggregation error recognized by the spatial analysis literature—Source A, B, and C—there is a further source of aggregation error, Source D error, arising from the representation of facility sites by discrete points. Source D effects are of the same magnitude as Source A and B together and are much higher than Source C effects. Further, Source D error, in contrast to Source A and B error, can only be eliminated by disaggregating.
