Sumario:The impact of minimum wage on employment of individuals with disabilities was examined through an analysis of labor market activity rate (LMAR). Multiple regression demonstrated that generally, while individuals with disabilities had a higher LMAR in states with higher than federal minimum wages, the highest LMAR for that group occurred in a period in which there were no increases in the federal minimum wage (p < .01). Further, apparent interactions between disability status and minimum wage increases may account, in part, for the perceived lackluster performance of the Americans with Disabilities Act to increase the employment for individuals with disabilities.
