Summary:A review of ToolBook Version 3.0. The additional features that improve the package's suitability for authoring economics Computer-Based Learning courseware are examined; improvements in performance, connectivity, ease of authoring, and ease of distribution are considered; and the process of upgrading courseware from version 1.5 to version 3.0 is discussed. It is concluded that ToolBook 3.0 is a significant improvement on earlier versions but that the level of programming expertise that it requires is still restrictive for many academics.
