| Sumario: | The article analyzes the results of the 2009 Faculty Survey of Student Engagement, conducted by Indiana University in Bloomington, particularly the finding that majority of lecturers do not use technology in their academic activities. The survey found that 72 percent used course management software like Blackboard but about 70 percent did not use plagiarism detection software and 84 percent did not integrate blogs into their strategies. Analysis of Luddite attitudes and arguments against the use of technology in academic life are included. |
