Sumario:The article focuses on the cellular telephone manufacturer Nokia. The company's loss of market share since 2007 is discussed in terms of a change within high technology industries in which the popularity of the smartphone has made the development of computer software for cellular telephones more important than their hardware engineering. A possible partnership in which Nokia smartphones would use an operating system from Microsoft Corp. is considered.
