| Sumario: | Completing mental capacity assessments for individuals is a complicated process that presents professionals with many challenges. The authors set up a system to develop materials and protocols to evaluate the capacity of a varied population. They recommend ways of achieving a balance between reducing risks to vulnerable individuals and acknowledging how their abilities might improve. In addition, they suggest that multidisciplinaryteams should explore how they can develop the skills required by using their experience to provide case examples for others to use.
