Sumario:The article discusses the development of an aesthetic model or method for computers to recognize the beauty in the game of chess. It indicates that the model aims to associate positively and reasonably with human player aesthetic assessment. It focuses on the development of computer program called CHESTHETICA to aid in the complex calculations involved identify beautiful combinations in large databases of chess games based on aesthetic model. It examines new discoveries about the game made by the program and discusses the philosophical basis of computational aesthetic recognition in chess, specifically chess themes.
