| Sumario: | Chapter 2 of the Summer 2013 issue of the "Career Planning and Adult Development Journal" is presented. This chapter looks at the problems in the theoretical framework of education and workforce definitions of STEM in the U.S. The issue of adopting and diffusing technology while instilling innovation within STEM systems is addressed.
