Management strategies include pharmacotherapy, dietary modification, and endoscopic therapy, although patients will often have a relapsing and remitting course. Currently, the primary pharmacotherapy for EoE consists of corticosteroids. Immunomodulators, leukotriene antagonists, biologics, and monoclonal antibodies are currently under study for treatment of EoE.
