This character is evidenced by the fact that the categorial approach to reality leaves aside time and, gives a non-unitary vision of beings as compounds. On the basis of this, we analyze the arguments that take facts to be the fundamental category of the world, and arrive at the conclusion that this kind of entity cannot be ontologically primary, inasmuch as it constitutes an approach to being from the perspective of thought and, therefore, it does not have an existence that is independent from consciousness. Este artículo plantea el carácter onto-lóglco, es decir, más lógico que estrictamente metafísico, de la investigación categorial, que se debe a la propia naturaleza (clasificatoria) de este tipo de estudio. Este carácter se detecta en la perspectiva sincrónica o atemporal que aquélla adopta, y en la comprensión no unitaria de los entes -- como compuestos-- que resulta de ella.
