Summary:This article aims to analyse the specificity of historical knowledge from the analysis based on Temps et Récit by Paul Ricoeur, linked to the continental or European philosophical current, and Analytical Philosophy of History by Arthur C. Danto, related to analytical philosophy. We propose that, based on the notion of narration, spaces have been opening up that allow for dialogue between both currents, insofar as narration plays an essential role like historical knowledge, since it is through it that History becomes intelligible.
