| Sumario: | This article analyzes the magazine Aurora de Chile, created by Pablo Neruda. In its 1938–1939 issues, Neruda defended the persecuted Jews of Nazi Germany, in the context of the anti-fascist struggle experienced during the Spanish Civil War (1936–1939). In addition to intellectually supporting theRepublican cause, the magazine reported on the persecution and extermination of Jews in Europe. It also denounced racist ideas in Chilean public life. |
