| Sumario: | That is a phenomenological qualitative research based on the Merlau-Ponty theory that aims to unveil the problem-based learning phenomenon experienced by nursing graduates at a private institution. The data were collected by means of the question - 'What does learning from Problem-based learning mean to you?' answered by 19 individuals and analyzed by means of phenomenological reduction. The results indicated four open categories, comprised of fifteen thematic convergences. The study revealed that the method is gratifying for the individuals, even though the students encountered some obstacles that have to be overcome.
