| Sumario: | Does digital technology lead students to improve their writing performance on national assessments? We tested this hypothesis with 314 Quebec adolescents in a quasi-experiment. Three digital writing devices (word processing [WP]; WP and corrective software [WP+C]; WP+C and training) were compared to handwriting. The quantitative analysis (ANOVA) of the number of errors shows gains linked to the corrective software, but only in spelling. |
