Sumario:The article focuses on improving surgical knot-tying education for medical students through the development of a vessel ligation task trainer that provides objective feedback. Traditional methods often lead to inefficient learning due to inconsistent instructor feedback, prompting the need for a structured approach. The task trainer incorporates a pneumatic feedback loop and smartphone video assessment to measure knot security, gentleness, and procedural fluency. Results from a study involving expert surgeons and senior medical students indicated that the task trainer significantly enhanced students' skills and self-confidence, demonstrating the effectiveness of structured, feedback-informed learning in surgical education.
