| Sumario: | The article looks into the experimental program implemented at the George Peabody College for Teachers designed to improve teacher education in Nashville, Tennessee. The program emphasized the involvement of cooperation of colleges to yield a satisfactory teacher education. Also, an extensive program of visitation is encouraged to exposed student teachers to the wide variety of teaching methods. Moreover, theory and practice must be integrated and balanced within the professional sequence. The on-campus professional sequence included in the program was conceived as a continuous developmental program.
